CSAT Solutions is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a Defectives Screening Operator. This position will require the candidate to have some knowledge of computer components.
Role and Responsibilities
- Operates machines to test functioning of components and parts
- Performs disassembly and assembly of components and parts in test fixtures for full functional testing using hand or power tools
- Performs visual mechanical inspection for cosmetic defects and reports findings
- Tests components or circuits of faulty equipment to locate defects, using special diagnostic software programs
- Learns and uses new processes and procedures
- Responsible for meeting ISO 9001 and/or other quality system requirements in their department
- May return unit back to the technician for repair if unit fails test
- May forward units on to quality group for quality inspection, if unit passes test
- May perform other tasks as assigned
Education, Training and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 year of experience with test and software installation and configuration, preferred
- Basic knowledge of computer software
- Basic familiarity with computer use required
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methods preferred
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with close supervision
- Intermediate English abilities required
- Ability to follow documented procedures, standards and policies
- Excellent time-management skills
Working Conditions and Essential Abilities & Functions
- Warehouse environment (may not be climate-controlled)
- Lift/carry up to 20 lbs.
- Push/pull up to 10 lbs.
- Stand/walk for 8 hours
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, and crouching
- Use of small hand tools
