The Retail Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing store operations to enhance stores’ profitability & efficiency, customer satisfaction, employee engagement/safety and overall business performance. This position will focus on tactical operational duties as well as foundational loss prevention functions, enabling store leadership to concentrate on strategic initiatives and retail growth.
This role is challenging – above and beyond the day-to-day responsibilities, you’ll have a big role within a fast-paced team.
This position will report into the VP of Stores.
What you get to do every day:
\n- Own the store communications channels, including generating & editing the content for newsletters, directives, promo changes, and surveys.
- Represent Retail POV cross-functionally in meeting/calls/digital correspondence.
- Act as an advocate/liaison between Retail & functions/departments which directly support Retail, such as IT, Finance and Facilities/Supplies.
- Manage store task load, including gatekeeping & calendar management as well as labor calculations/payroll requests.
- Take point on POS issues such as promotions/pricing, OS updates, and store systems partnership.
- Manage the store operations budgets by preparing & assessing reports, processing invoices, analyzing store expenses, reviewing P&L’s, and planning contests/incentives.
- Coordinate tech rollouts, potentially including order management and omni-fulfillment systems.
- Develop, implement and manage strategies to minimize loss in the stores, protect the safety of the store staffs and maximize operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular auditing - including reporting on POS transactions, banking & cash handling, alarm systems, CCTV, and other compliance areas.
- Partner with store leadership on investigations by conducting research and presenting findings/recommendations.
- Oversee vendor relations, including guard services, banking, LP hardware & tech accounts.
- Plan, support the execution of, reconcile, and report on physical inventory.
- Manage incident reports - including tracking, compliance, and response.
- Ensure visibility/presence in the office during the store/travel time of store leadership.
- Coordinate meeting/call agendas and logistics.
- Maintain SharePoint, including policy/procedure documentation and training tools.
- 5 experience in retail operations, store management and loss prevention.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with various departments.
- Proficiency in store systems and technology.
