Position Summary
California Surveying & Drafting Supply (CSDS), a leader in digital technology and the #1 HP Designjet reseller in the U.S., is growing! - And we are seeking Large Format Printer/Copier/Scanner Service Technician to support our customers in Northern California. CSDS delivers leading, real-world solutions for our clients small and large-format printing and imaging needs, including: HP, Contex and Widetek multi-function printers, copiers, scanners and supplies technology commonly used within the Architectural, Engineering and Construction (AEC) and related industries. Our customers include the State of California, Cal Fire, US Forest Service, Google, PG&E, Rex Moore and many other respected corporations. In this role, you will...
- ** No experience required** but you must be "mechanically" inclined **
- Be provided with the necessary training to succeed in the role
- Strong working knowledge of computers, software, and networking.
- Troubleshoot problems and perform repairs, preventive maintenance, and equipment overhauls.
- Be well-organized and detail-oriented.
- Be a team player with the ability to work independently and as part of a service unit.
- Be personable and have a strong customer service ethic
About you...
- Travel throughout your respective territory responding to service orders received from dispatch.
- Maintain customer equipment under contract with CSDS.
- Assess client needs and present service proposals for extended hardware/firmware warranties.
- Represent CSDS at events as needed.
- Build a solid, working relationship with a variety of businesses Possess a valid CA Driver’s License & Clear DMV print-out.
Bonus points
- Have experience servicing large format printers, copiers, scanners and multi-function systems (experience with HP, Seiko, and Xerox a plus), or possess a 2-year vocational certificate or A.S. degree in electronics.
