JOB SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, implement, and lead comprehensive safety programs and policies in accordance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements
- Identify gaps in existing safety policies and develop methods to reduce or eliminate these gaps
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Create and deliver safety training and education for existing employees and new hires, to include toolbox talks and new hire orientation
- Supervise the Driver and Fleet Safety program including driving with new hires and monitoring GPS and driving habits of employees to identify ways to reduce accidents and overall fleet maintenance costs
- Investigate and report on all accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety gear
- Collaborate with managers, supervisors, and employees to promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain safety records and documentation and prepare reports for management, clients, and regulatory agencies
- Conduct training safety meetings to increase information exchange and Technician awareness, communicate safety updates and reinforce safe work practices
- Stay current on industry best practices and regulatory changes to continually improve safety practices
- Review customer-specific safety requirements and ensure compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science or a related field
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a safety supervisory or related role, preferably in the HVAC/Plumbing or Construction industries
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standards related to the HVAC/Plumbing and/or Construction industries
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct thorough investigations and risk assessments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate employees
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Teams, and safety management software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach
- Must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and be insurable under the company’s plan
- Functions primarily at client locations or in an office environment.
- Frequent travel is required to visit client properties/site locations (overnight travel is not required). A company vehicle is provided, and the position has the freedom to manage their own work schedule
- Position requires the ability to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day.
