Collision Repair Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Repair Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in auto glass and auto body repair, coupled with excellent customer service skills. This role involves diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring high-quality standards are met in all work performed. The Repair Technician will play a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction through effective communication and technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Auto body restoration projects, if collision work is slower.
• Diagnose and repair various types of automotive damage, including auto glass and body repairs.
• Utilize airless paint spraying techniques to achieve high-quality finishes on repaired surfaces.
• Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repair processes and timelines.
• Perform mechanical repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed, demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge.
• Estimate costs for repairs accurately, ensuring transparency with customers regarding potential expenses.
• Fabricate parts as necessary to complete repairs efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during all repair processes.
• Assist with heavy lifting of automotive parts and equipment as required during the repair process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in auto glass or auto body repair is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Mechanical knowledge with a solid understanding of automotive systems and repair techniques.
• Detail-oriented approach to work, ensuring precision in all repairs performed.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed throughout the repair process.
• Familiarity with auto estimating practices is a plus.
• Experience with airless paint spraying is beneficial but not mandatory.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
