TITLE: Human Resources Generalist
CLASSIFICATION: Full Time – Hourly
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
REPORTS TO: VP HR – Corp Office
COMPENSATION: $22.00 - $25.00

Position Summary:

Responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and working closely with senior HR management in supporting designated geographic region or client. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Recruitment and onboarding;
• Maintain and update Team Member records in the HRIS;
• Compliance with Fair Chance Act;
• Process new hires and terminations;
• Respond to all EDD and IRS notices;
• Assist in the development and implementation of performance management systems;
• Coordinate performance appraisal processes and provide support to managers and Team Members;
• Support Team Member development initiatives and programs;
• Assist in the implementation of HR policies and procedures;
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations;
• Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations.
• Maintain employee files and HR records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
• Ability to anticipate needs of applicants, managers and co-workers
• Ability to multitask, provide direction, and delegate responsibility (follow up)
• Report any liabilities to VP of HR and HR Manger ((harassment, wage and hour compliance, etc.)

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Three years in HR related role; Strong understanding of HR principles, practices, and legal requirements.
• Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office applications;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion;
• Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills;
• Good organizational skills required;
• Bilingual (Spanish);
• Must possess a California Driver’s License with a driving record acceptable to Company risk management and its insurance underwriters.
