Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a Construction Estimator and Scheduler to join our client's team on a contractor basis. This role is expected to be 30 hours per week with the potential to transition into a full-time position based on performance and company needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in both cost estimating and project scheduling within the construction industry, with a focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage accurate cost estimates for construction projects, considering labor, materials, and equipment.
- Prepare detailed project schedules, ensuring that milestones and deadlines are met.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure effective communication and smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, adjusting schedules as needed to mitigate delays.
- Provide ongoing support to the project team, including resolving issues related to cost and scheduling.
- Conduct site visits as needed to assess project conditions and support accurate estimations.
- Assist in procurement processes, including obtaining quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator and Scheduler in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, cost estimating, and project scheduling.
- Proficiency in construction software and tools (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, MS Project).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
