Job Overview:
We're seeking recent graduates of Industrial Design programs to join our Product Development team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your education in a professional setting, with extensive on-the-job training alongside a team of other recent grads. As a small company, your contributions matter greatly, providing ample growth opportunities. You'll utilize Rhino 3D to model products, create product guides in Adobe InDesign, and take charge of various aspects of new product development, including feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, and rendering. Additionally, you'll collaborate on customer project design proposals.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Subcontracted applicants receive $19.50 per hour during a 5-month training program.
- Eligible for direct hire after training completion, with full benefits and a pay increase.
Responsibilities:
- Create 3D models of products using Rhino 3D.
- Present products in a product guide format using Adobe InDesign.
- Generate all required product assets for eventual website publishing.
- Design and prototype products.
- Support other company departments by solving product-related problems.
Required Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Rhino 3D or similar 3D CAD software.
- Proficient in Adobe InDesign.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Capacity to thrive under pressure.
- Strong work ethic and motivation.
- No prior experience required; all training provided.
- Reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin - Stout with an Industrial Design degree.
- Experience or training in product development.
