The Civil Superintendent provides onsite supervision of Civil Subcontractors, all their craft personnel and activities, to ensure a safe, productive, and quality job while controlling construction costs. Ensure the Civil Subcontractor effectively schedules labor, materials, tools, and equipment, (within their scope of work) to meet the project schedule requirements

Essential Functions
- Supervises and sets the direction for onsite Civil subcontractors under his purview.
- Ensures best use of all CSI and Civil Subcontractor resources, and adherence to company policies, and state and federal regulations.
- Ensures Civil Subcontractor's utilization of best safety practices, and that their employees have the proper training with an emphasis on special risks related to cranes, lifting, DOT requirements, site conditions, telehandlers, AHA’s, heavy equipment operation, electrical safety hazards, etc.
- Create a collaborative environment with craft, subcontractors, vendors, and the client to continually improve the company’s delivery and performance.
- Understands the subcontract scope of work and identifies, in advance, any potential change orders.
- Ensures the Civil Subcontractor has sufficient material, tools, and equipment, to support construction activities per schedule.
- Ensure all Civil Subcontractor's field supervision complete daily AHA’s correctly.
- Ensure Civil Subcontractor coordinates their scope of work with other superintendents’ scope of work.
- Performs Quality audits on civil scope of work, as necessary.
- Provides daily civil progress reports to the CSI management team

Qualifications
-
5 years of experience in Solar and Renewable Energy.
Or: - 10 years of experience in Construction

- May be required to work in the Santa Fe Springs office at certain times for pre-construction, supervisory, and budget meetings.
- Works in the field, on various projects 100% of the time.
- May work in varying weather conditions: hot, cold, and wet conditions.
- May occasionally work in areas with large industrial equipment subject to high noise levels and hazardous chemicals.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary $135,200-$170,560/ year
- Commensurate with experience, paid weekly. Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. CSI reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the selected candidate's qualifications.
