Job Description
CSI Recruiting is working with a growing technology and engineering company in the business of providing leading-edge technology companies with computing power and energy using stranded energy resources, including natural gas and underloaded renewables, to deliver low-cost, carbon-negative distributed computing solutions.
To further the company's mission, they are hiring for an experienced Mechanical Engineer to be responsible for the layout, design, and integration of mechanical systems into drawings of custom power and electrical products for manufacture. The position will be located on-site in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Local candidates are preferred, but the company will relocate the right candidate to the Tulsa area.
The Mechanical Engineer will ensure fabrication and assembly adheres to project and customer specifications, engineering standard policies, company practices & procedures.
Additionally, the Mechanical Engineer will :
Design modular buildings, metal enclosures, specification sheets, general arrangements, bill of materials, assembly, and other fabrication documents
Responsible for proper / timely processing of shop drawings, product submittals, operation and maintenance manuals, and recording all as-built drawings
Confirm accuracy of project materials quoted to customers, including the review of vendor bid packages and submittals for technical accuracy.
Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and identify areas for improvement
Work with the Production, Procurement, Project Management and Sales teams on continuous improvement opportunities
Collaborate with other disciplines to integrate all equipment into project designs
Design and execute continuous improvement projects to increase workflow efficiency
Mentor and peer review other mechanical engineers and designers
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering / Manufacturing with 5 years of experience
Preferred disciplines are Mechanical / Process and Electrical
Experience in building design of Power Distribution Centers and Data Centers, as well as metal structures & electrical enclosures
Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight and mature judgment in planning, organizing and guiding extensive programs and activities of importance
High-level analytical ability and decision making
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient with 3D modeling software, specifically AutoCAD Inventor, as well as Microsoft Office and Google Suite
Knowledge of metals and materials used for fabrication
Experience in using Material requirements planning (MRP) software
Familiar with air flow and fluid flow calculations, as well as heat / gain loss in HVAC systems
Familiar with building codes, energy codes, and compliance checks is a plus
Requires lift, lower, push and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 50 lbs
Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily
Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back
