Job Title: Medical Screener
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Medical Screener. As a Medical Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet donors at the plasma collection center and conduct a series of registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
- Assess self-administered health history and answer basic medical questions associated with the donation process.
- Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, temperature.
- Refer donors to medical staff when appropriate.
- Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma.
- Register applicants and transfer donors based upon completion of appropriate training and operational needs of the center.
- Answer telephone calls and respond to inquiries or transfer calls to appropriate staff members.
Requirements:
- Three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in medical or health provider environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
- Familiarity with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.
