Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Donor Registration Specialist at CSL Plasma.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet donors and conduct registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process.
- Assess self-administered health history, answer medical questions associated with donation, and refer donors to medical staff when necessary.
- Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature.
- May educate new donors on therapeutic products made from donated plasma, including the screening process and health screening tests performed.
- Register applicants and transfer donors based on completion of training and operational needs.
- Answer telephone calls, respond to questions, and transfer calls to appropriate staff members.
- Monitor donor reactions during and after the pheresis process and notify staff accordingly.
- Accurately record donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three months experience in a clerical or customer service position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
- Bilingual skills may be required to meet business needs.
- Must perform basic math calculations and have good communication skills.
- Frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and blood-borne pathogens.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment and work overtime and extended hours to support center operational needs.
