GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB

Under the guidance of the Site Planning Specialist, the Site Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work / functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Create and maintain production, material movement, coordination of quality testing, work assignments, and shipment schedules and prioritize job orders for site optimization to meet customer agreed due dates.
  • Work with teams across all functional areas including Sales and R&D teams to schedule and complete new product scale ups.
  • Complete status reports and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, raw material inventory, and finished goods demand across the organization.
  • Based on collected data from the production, QC and tech transfer departments, make statistical-based suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, process efficiencies, quality, and productivity.
  • Work closely with Procurement and Warehouse to make sure that the company's supply needs are adequately met based on the production schedule needs.
  • Alert Site Planning Specialist when material shortages or production problems risk causing delay in scheduling, production, and / or delivery.
  • Revise production schedules as required due to Sales changes, customer needs, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions.
  • Maintain various status displays and reports for the management and sales teams.
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, data analytics, statistics, or a related field OR equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Understanding of ERP system and Microsoft Office products (strong proficiency in Excel); Database knowledge and strong computer skills.
  • 1 - 2 years previous experience, preferred
  • Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, interpret and create detailed analytical reports
  • Ability to write documents and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Ability to apply statistical mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
  • Ability to produce and analyze data, trends, and connect math to flow of materials to ensure efficiencies and production metrics are met across the organization
  • REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have excellent communication skills to be able to pass the necessary information to both customer service and managers.
  • Must be able to get along with others and work in and with cross functional team in a manner that promotes a culture of team work and respect to others.

  • Noise level in the work environment is moderate.
  • The normal work environment is primarily an office setting but will require occasional visits to the production environment.
