GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
Under the guidance of the Site Planning Specialist, the Site Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work / functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned.
- Create and maintain production, material movement, coordination of quality testing, work assignments, and shipment schedules and prioritize job orders for site optimization to meet customer agreed due dates.
- Work with teams across all functional areas including Sales and R&D teams to schedule and complete new product scale ups.
- Complete status reports and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, raw material inventory, and finished goods demand across the organization.
- Based on collected data from the production, QC and tech transfer departments, make statistical-based suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, process efficiencies, quality, and productivity.
- Work closely with Procurement and Warehouse to make sure that the company's supply needs are adequately met based on the production schedule needs.
- Alert Site Planning Specialist when material shortages or production problems risk causing delay in scheduling, production, and / or delivery.
- Revise production schedules as required due to Sales changes, customer needs, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions.
- Maintain various status displays and reports for the management and sales teams.
- Other duties as assigned
