Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Die Setter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and adjusting dies on production stamping press machinery, ensuring optimal performance and quality in the fabrication process.
Duties
- Set up and adjust dies on various production machines, including 400 Ton Press machines.
- sharpening dies, adjustments as needed per spec
- Operate & run stamping press machinery to fabricate components according to specifications.
- Utilize hand tools and measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure precision in die settings.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient workflow and production schedules.
- work as a right hand to the floor supervisor & getting dies ready for future production runs
- Perform routine maintenance on dies and machinery to ensure optimal functioning.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean working environment.
Requirements
- 3 years minimum proven experience as a Die Setter or in a similar role within a automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of tooling and fabrication processes.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments (micrometer, caliper, optical comparator).
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to die settings.
- Ability to work effectively with others and attention to detail.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members effectively.
