Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shipping & Receiving Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping & receiving department, ensuring efficient inventory control, and maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the receiving process, including shipping and receiving activities.
- 4 direct reports within the department- managing on floor team as well as directing routes for 2 in-house drivers
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments, ERP system and ASN processing.
- Viewing various customer portals & adjusting daily/weekly demands - EDI releases
- Should be able to follow and maintain 15-20 parts for shipment per day across multiple customers
- Oversee inventory control procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in stock management.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (ERP) to track inventory levels and manage stock movements.
- Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize shipping schedules and ensure timely deliveries.
- Implement OSHA regulations and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Lead and develop a team of warehouse staff, providing training and support to enhance performance.
- Monitor materials handling processes to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency.
- develop and maintain manageable KPI's
Experience
- 3 years minimum proven experience in warehouse and or Shipping & Receiving management or a similar role within automotive supply chain environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control practices and materials handling techniques.
- Experience using warehouse management systems for tracking inventory.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment. Good verbal & written communication skills interacting with team members and customers/vendors alike.
- Understanding of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety and compliance.
- Proficient in shipping/receiving procedures, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
