Overview:
Our client, a Delaware based water company, is seeking a Manager of IT Infrastructure to join their growing team! This exciting role is a Direct Hire opportunity. Our client is seeking an individual local to their Newark office so they can work onsite 5 days a week. This position is not offering sponsorship at this time.
KEY FOCUS: This role requires extensive expereince as a HANDS ON leader someone that can roll up their sleeves and contribute individually in addition to leading a 4 person team of Helpdesk and System Engineers. Extensive Active Directory Managements is a MUST have for the role.
Job Summary:
This position is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of, and personnel within, the Systems Administration and Technology Support functions of the IT organization. Position requires formulating priorities consistent with the organization s vision, while being responsive to growth & cybersecurity. Lastly, the position is responsible for fostering the growth of capabilities of the department, and the individuals therein.
IT Infrastructure Oversight
- Lead all aspects of IT Infrastructure, including servers, storage, electronic communications, technology support, physical environments, Microsoft products, business applications, web servers, backup & recovery, monitoring tools, and authentication.
- Develop and maintain a lifecycle roadmap for infrastructure technologies.
- Identify and implement new technologies, enhancements, and process improvements.
- Establish and maintain monitoring tools for security, performance, and configuration management.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices, addressing vulnerabilities proactively.
- Provide 24/7 incident management support, escalating issues as needed.
Budget & Strategic Planning
- Develop and manage the annual IT Infrastructure budget, including personnel, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Assist in roadmap planning and project prioritization to align with business objectives.
- Ensure the use of approved methodologies for infrastructure projects, from scoping to implementation.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Enforce adherence to regulatory requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley) and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with security, audit, and contractual obligations.
- Oversee audit preparation, response, and implementation of recommendations.
- Manage IT Infrastructure risks, including contract negotiations and resiliency planning.
- Maintain disaster recovery plans and ensure periodic testing.
Leadership & Operations Management
- Develop strategic and tactical priorities for IT Infrastructure.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff, optimizing efficiency and workflow.
- Establish clear goals, deadlines, and communication checkpoints.
- Ensure business department satisfaction through proactive IT support.
- Provide updates and recommendations to senior leadership and IT governance bodies.
- Perform hands-on technical tasks when necessary.
Vendor & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage vendors and advisory services to identify cost-effective solutions.
- Negotiate favorable business terms for contracts and licensing agreements.
