The Appointment Scheduler/Dispatcher is responsible for efficiently coordinating the dispatch of personnel and equipment. The role involves communicating with field employees, customers, and management to ensure operations run smoothly. The dispatcher must manage schedules, handle service requests, and solve problems as they arise, maintaining clear and concise records of all activity.

Key Responsibilities:

Job Assignment: Dispatch field employees and equipment to various locations based on customer requests or project needs.
Scheduling: Organize and maintain daily work schedules for teams, adjusting for changes in real time due to weather, delays, or other factors.
Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between field employees and management. Relay work orders, site locations, and any job changes.
Customer Service: Respond to customer inquiries or service requests, updating them on the status of deliveries, service calls, or project progress.
Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate logs of dispatch activities, including field employee locations, job details, and any changes made to schedules. Track vehicle/equipment usage and employee hours as needed.
Problem Solving: Respond to issues such as delayed deliveries, breakdowns, or emergencies by reassigning resources or adjusting plans to minimize disruptions.
Compliance: Ensure all dispatch activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and legal requirements.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1-2 years of experience in dispatching, logistics, appointment scheduling, or customer service.
Skills:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with dispatch software and systems (e.g., GPS, routing tools).
Problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to unexpected changes.
Strong customer service abilities.
Proficiency with Microsoft office suite, including Microsoft Teams

Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced environments.
Must be able to understand, speak, listen, read and write English.
