The College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) is an integral part of the Colorado State University land-grant system. The CAS Dean’s Office is responsible for oversight in fulfilling the land-grant mission in agricultural sciences through teaching, research, community and economic outreach and engagement, in service to and in cooperation with Extension (CSUE) and the Agricultural Experiment Station (AES). The CAS Dean’s office serves the college through executive level leadership determined by strategic plan, an oversight of the college’s initiatives in research, academic programs including programmatic curriculum oversight, student affairs including diversity and retention, student success and next destination placement, and student recruiting. The CAS Dean’s office Student Success Team provides central coordination of the college’s internal and external student affairs efforts, including recruitment, retention, teaching effectiveness and all aspects of student life. CAS is committed to providing students with high-quality undergraduate and graduate learning experiences in an inclusive and welcoming environment. The CAS Student Success Team develops college-wide programs and encourages departmental development, coordination, execution, and assessment of unit-level student success efforts.

This role involves creating engaging content for various digital platforms, including websites, newsletters, and social media, to promote the College of Agricultural Sciences. Key responsibilities include simplifying complex research into clear stories, promoting Animal Sciences events and initiatives, and developing digital content (e.g., photography, videography, graphics) for recruitment and outreach. The position requires strong organization, collaboration, and the ability to meet deadlines, all while aligning with CSU’s mission, values, and Principles of Community.

- Research, write and edit engaging content for multiple channels, including website, newsletters, news releases, social media.
- Ensure that the College of Agricultural Sciences brand is communicated consistently and appropriately.
- Distill scientific and technical information related to Animal Science and Equine Science research into accurate, complete, clear and compelling stories for lay audiences.
- Promote Department of Animal Sciences events, awards, research, profiles and other news through various digital platforms.
- Maintain organized file folder structure for all projects.
- Work collaboratively, as well as independently, on projects.
- Align tasks and complete projects while adhering to deadlines and maintaining file organization.
- Develop and implement digital written and visual content (e.g., photography, videography, graphic design, etc.) that promotes college and department events, awards, research, profiles and other news and in support of recruitment efforts.
