Sales Representative – International Sales
Job Summary
Managing and supporting sales team with accounts in the Intermodal International Container Business Unit. Position will primarily focus on achieving annual revenue, contribution, price and volume plans.
Primary Activities and Responsibilities
- Design, market, sell and manage CSX Transportation (CSXT) services to several International accounts across the U.S.
- Support senior account managers in developing sales plans, critical reporting and customer correspondence.
- Create and execute strategic account plans for a limited number of customers.
- Lead and strengthen business relationships within CSXT and customer organizations while pushing each for improved performance or increased business levels.
- Assist in negotiation of complex commercial proposals in conjunction with all relevant CSX groups, including Marketing, Service Design, Operations, Customer Service, Industrial Development, etc.
- Lead and develop improved service plans with customer and appropriate CSX groups, including Operations and Customer Service.
- Prospect and onboard new customers within an assigned market.
- Miscellaneous activities and responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree/4-year Degree
- 1 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales/Account Management, Marketing, or Finance
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate Degree
- 3 or more years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations, Business/Strategic Management, Sales/Account Management, Marketing, or Finance
Knowledge and Skills
- Leadership, problem solving , oral and written communication skills
- Analytical, financial, and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle complex Fortune 500 accounts
- Transportation or railroad industry
- Ability to relocate for purposes of transfer or promotion
- Mainframe and personal computer systems
- Ability to effectively deliver presentations to a variety of audiences
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), and of Business Intelligence tools
