Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including managing schedules, preparing reports, and maintaining files.
- Assist with tax preparation and governmental accounting tasks as needed.
- Perform journal entries and assist with balance sheet reconciliation.
- Support budgeting processes by gathering necessary data and preparing documentation.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting functions, including invoicing and accounts payable/receivable.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve efficiency within the department.
- Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding financial matters.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or in a similar role, preferably within an accounting or finance setting
- Familiarity with tax regulations and governmental accounting processes is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks and other relevant accounting software.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
