Branch Manager
Position Summary
The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the financial performance and product portfolios of the assigned branch, including all deposits and loans. You will be responsible for controlling costs and expenses and deposit costs to achieve the branch's profitability and growth. Additionally, you will oversee the overall functions within the assigned branch, including business development, retail activities, sales and marketing, customer services and relationships, employee management, and compliance and audit.
Essential Functions:
- Retail Activities (20%):
• Implement the bank's retail banking strategies to achieve the assigned goals.
• Manage retail activities for the assigned branch and coordinate with Regional Branch Manager for regional retail activities.
• Represent the bank in professional associations and community activities for business relationship building. - Financial Performance and Customer Relationships (40%):
• Responsible for the financial performance and product portfolios of the assigned branch, including deposits, loans, fee incomes, and investment product referrals.
• Coordinate with Regional Branch Manager to achieve financial goals assigned to the branch and region.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly/annual financial review of the assigned branch.
• Manage marketing campaigns and sales programs developed by the bank for the branch, and coordinate with Regional Branch Manager to implement regional marketing campaigns and sales programs.
• Manage customers effectively and grow existing deposit base while acquiring new customers. - Operation Efficiency and Customer Service (15%):
• Oversee branch banking operation of the assigned branch to provide comprehensive and prompt retail services, including operation efficiency and employee productivity.
• Control indirect expenses of the branch such as overtime worked.
• Provide customer services excellence, client complaint corrections, and resolutions of the assigned branch. - Employee Management and Development (25%):
• Supervise employees of the assigned branch to achieve bank's employee productivity.
• Establish annual goals and supervise daily performance of branch employees.
• Ensure employees comply with applicable bank policies and procedures, as well as governing laws and regulations.
Other Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial and regulatory reports required by laws, regulations, and boards of directors.
- Ensure all retail activities within the assigned branch are in compliance with related bank laws and regulations.
- Perform related duties for training and development purposes.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
- Comprehensive understanding of branch business operations and retail services.
- Knowledge of financial statements and related bank laws and regulations.
- Strong sales, marketing, and business development skills.
- Ability to manage people and lead a team.
- Familiarity with e-Commerce, e-Banking, and branch banking-related technology.
- Bachelor's degree or above in a related field is preferred.
- Life License is required; other licenses required by the bank's business strategy are a plus.
- 5 years of experience as a branch manager in the branch banking industry is preferred.
- Fluent in English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred) is a major plus.
Physical Demands:
- Minimum mobility to work in an office setting; sit for prolonged periods; operate office equipment, including use of a computer keyboard; and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasional walking, standing, lifting, and moving records and documents weighing 30 pounds or less.

- Ability to interact with all levels of management and staff.
Work Environment:
- Standard office environment; average noise level.
- Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

Compensation:
The base pay range for this position is USD $95,000.00/Yr - USD $125,000.00/Yr plus full benefits. Exact offer will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
