Teller/Client Service Rep

Job Summary

This role provides superior customer service to Bank customers while processing transactions, verifying documents, and supporting file maintenance.

In addition, it facilitates account opening/maintenance/renewal/closing processes as a backup for account services.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service (50%)

• Process daily cash/non-cash transactions and perform daily cash balancing.
• Accept and process loan payments, federal tax deposits, and all deposits/presentments by customers, mail, and courier services.
• Provide superior customer service in customer transactions and account services.

Operations (30%)

• Perform daily branch cash recap, vault register, operational working supply verification, check registration log, and large incoming clearing items verification.
• Backup and process ATM balancing, night deposit, Bank by mail, carrier process, and other assigned processes.

Account Maintenance (20%)

• Facilitate account opening/maintenance/renewal/closing processes, including card activation and address changes.
• Support account maintenance for the backup Account Service function.

Maintain high standards of customer service and financial knowledge. Make referrals to Affluent customers and cross-sell Bank products to achieve branch goals. Complete mandatory training on compliance and regulations in a timely manner. 1 year of customer service experience in banking or related environment required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of banking products and procedures, teller policies, audit procedures, and laws/regulations.
• Detail-oriented with previous cash handling preferred.
• Basic PC skills and familiarity with e-Commerce, e-Banking, and Branch Banking IT systems.
• Fluent English and Chinese (Mandarin preferred).

Work Environment

Standard office environment. Ability to interact with management and staff. Must have attention to detail, strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, self-motivated, and analytical skills.
