JOB DESCRIPTION
The CTD Lead Dispatcher/Assistant Manager is responsible to ensure passenger trips are scheduled and recorded in accordance with the Paratransit Service policies and procedures. They will help organize and schedule the passenger trips on the Drivers’ Manifests to ensure the trips are schedule efficiently to maximize the use of the vehicles on the route and transport the passengers to and from their pickup and drop-off locations within the set parameters. They will organize and assist in maintaining reservation pages, client records and ridership information for monthly reports. They will assist with driving routes when needed as well as manage vehicle maintenance.
Requirements:
Requirements for the position include the following:
- Valid Driver’s License
- Insurable with good driving record
- Pre-employment physical and drug test
- Ability to understand and utilize computer programs
- Understand basic accounting
Responsibilities:
The following is a listing of the main duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
- Scheduling passenger trips
- Answering the telephone
- Radio dispatching drivers
- Organizing passenger trips and maintaining reservation pages
- Assist with the record keeping of passenger trips, fares, trip denials, Offered/Accepted/Refused trips, vehicle mileage, fuel, fuel receipts
- Driving vehicles for maintenance repairs, state inspections, trade vehicles on route
- Drive routes to transport passengers when required
- Produce management reports as requested
- Will work with Manager to become familiar with all aspects of operations

The employee will work with computers, telephones and other technologies.
While performing the driving duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands and fingers to grip and manipulate the steering wheel or switches and to reach with hands and arms while manipulating hand controls. The employee is frequently required to use foot controls; depressing either the brake or the gas pedal with the right foot. The employee is required to sit for long periods of time.
Work Hours:
- Basic Office Hours: 7:30am-4:00pm (flexible schedule to adjust as needed to dispatch and drive)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
