What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher position at Magnum Companies?
The Dispatcher is responsible for supporting Magnum operations with direction from the Regional Manager. The primary purpose is to organize and conduct activities to assure safe, cost effective, on-time operating performance. Coordinate the utilization of drivers, trucks and equipment to create capacity, maximize productivity and ensure prompt, courteous and efficient service to all customers Communicate with and dispatch drivers to appropriate locations according to customer needs Entering accurate and complete load information into Magnums computer system Review and audit driver logs to verify items shipped by matching bills of lading, reconciling quantities, noting discrepancies and monitoring errors, missing information or violations Ensure compliance with hours of service and other FMCSA regulations as well as company policies Enter / Audit driver payroll Participate in operational and Safety meetings Submit all necessary paperwork to Billing Dept. for accurate billing of customer Promptly communicate any delays, issues, or concerns regarding Customer loads / requests Assist with projects and perform other duties as assigned. Appropriate use of progressive discipline, providing both positive and negative constructive feedback to employees
