Job Overview
The Vice President of Food Safety and Quality (FSQ) provides strategic leadership to ensure the highest standards of food safety, regulatory compliance, and product quality across the manufacturing facility. This role involves developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programs to safeguard product integrity while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The VP, FSQ collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Operations, R&D, and Supply Chain, to drive alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices. As the key liaison with regulatory agencies, the VP ensures compliance with all applicable food safety laws and certifications, mitigating risk and promoting consumer trust.

What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, microbiology, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of progressive experience in food safety, quality assurance, or a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FSMA, HACCP, GFSI, FDA, USDA).
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance systems, statistical process control, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess risks and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and foster a culture of food safety and quality excellence.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems for quality management and data analysis.
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging regulations, and best practices in food safety and quality.
