Computer User Support Specialist

Position summary:

The representative will be part of a Helpdesk Team responsible for the technical support at Fort Novosel.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Job duties include the following:

• Assists in maintaining CMDB 20.02 or higher, Service Management and Remedy Knowledge Install, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals.
• Resolves internal user problems and ensures correct operation of personal computers.
• Maintains parts inventory and logs all service/repair activity.
• May perform system setups for new hires.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential to the successful performance of this position.
• Other duties as assigned.

Certifications (IAT Level II)

One of the following:

• CCNA-Security
• CySA
• GICSP
• GSEC
• Security CE
• CND
• SSCP

Education and Experience: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience; or three years related experience in IT/Computer Science or equivalent field. ITIL: Foundation v4 or higher, Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent are required.

Security Clearance:  Must be eligible to obtain a DoD SECRET security clearance through a DoD NACLC background investigation.  Employee must maintain eligibility throughout employment.

Required Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in IT/Computer Science or equivalent field
• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
• ITIL: Foundation v4 or higher
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate or equivalent
