CTM Legal Group seeks an associate attorney to work in the immigration practice team. CTM represents individuals, businesses, labor unions and benefit funds in and around Chicago.
Ideal candidates should possess :
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in U.S. immigration law, including knowledge of immigration processes and procedures.
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Excellent drafting and communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents and effectively communicate with clients and authorities.
- Strong legal research skills, with experience conducting in-depth research on immigration laws, regulations, and case law.
- Experience handling a variety of immigration matters, including family-based immigration, Temporary Protected Status (TPS), asylum applications, inadmissibility issues, Violence Against Women Act (VAWA) petitions, U.S. citizenship, and removal defense.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple cases and deadlines.
- Local to Chicago, Illinois, as some office attendance, hearing attendance, and USCIS interviews will be required.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive approach to case management and client service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing high-quality legal services to clients.
