Job Description
The Senior Accountant performs all duties under the direction of the Controller and will closely collaborate with the Shared Services Team.
- Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely month-end close submission.
- Ensure the appropriate internal control environment is set up and maintained.
- Actively seek to continually improve and automate systems and processes that support monthly closing and reporting.
- Support the OneStream processes for reconciliation and task manager.
- Drive process improvements and best practices.
- Ensure the accuracy of the intercompany reconciliation process and drive issue resolution.
- Review financial data and trends for accuracy and reasonableness and investigate unusual items.
- Review and/or prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses.
- Provide guidance and mentoring to accounting staff.
- Support the Controller in maintaining and improving the job costing system.
- Assist the Controller with budgeting and forecasting.
- Participate in the annual audit process, including maintaining schedules and coordinating audit requests with staff; support periodic bank, insurance, and other audits.
- Responsible for managing the general ledger, including intercompany and other transactions.
- Ensure that accounting practices comply with policies and procedures established by the company.
- Prepare financial packages to accumulate information for outside tax preparers.
- Support the Controller to remit tax payments per outside tax preparer guidance.
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA/Public Accounting experience is a plus.
- Five or more years of experience in a manufacturing company.
- Working knowledge of financial reporting software such as OneStream or Hyperion preferred.
- ASC606 Revenue recognition/Percentage of Completion (POC) accounting experience a plus.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel.
- Experience with multiple ERP systems is desirable; SysPro experience is a strong plus.

- Good working knowledge of an ERP environment and how transactions interact.
- Excellent analytic and observation skills.
