At CTSI, we’re on the lookout for a friendly and skilled Systems Administrator to join our Technical Services Team! In this role, you’ll be responsible for implementing and maintaining servers and networks for our clients, with regular visits to their offices across the Permian Basin area.

Do you have a wonderful combination of technical expertise and excellent customer service skills? If so, we’d be thrilled to hear from you! We need someone who can tackle Service Desk tickets, act as a technical resource for both our clients and our internal team, and help us uphold our commitment to outstanding customer service.

The ideal candidate will not only respond quickly to client queries but will also be proactive in seeking out ways to improve the overall client experience.

This is an in-office in Midland, TX.

Basic Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Implement Projects that clients have agreed to
  • Install and Maintain computer and servers
  • Evaluate Network Performance
  • Coordinate with vendors on the client’s behalf 
  • Take escalated tickets and resolve
  • Effectively communicate directly with clients regularly

Qualifications and Skills:
This is a customer-facing position. Customer service, troubleshooting, and communication is critical.
Strong working knowledge in each of the technical areas will be necessary:

  • Previous experience as a Systems Administrator
  • Implementations experience
  • MS Window Server Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Fire/Print Services, Entra ID
  • Email Services: Office 365, Mail Flow, Mail Filtering
  • VMware Virtualization
  • Basic knowledge of Switching, Routing, Firewalls
  • Bachelor’s Degree is helpful, but not required 
  • The mentality of a coach and mentor (you like to share your knowledge and expertise)
  • The ability to understand business problems through a technology lens
  • The ability to communicate at all levels within in our client's organization
  • An empathetic person who has the ability to understand the perspective of our client’s users
  • An ability to ask the right questions to discover the context of general client issues
  • Ability to maintain confidence in the face of ambiguity
  • A positive, courteous demeanor and the ability to communicate professionally under pressure
  • An inherent commitment to serving the client
  • Ability to thrive in an environment of authentic connection, candor, and open feedback
  • The confidence, self-awareness, and integrity to take ownership of your successes and failures and learn from them

Additional Skills and Qualities We'd Love to See:

  • Microsoft platforms (e.g. Office 365, Active Directory, all current flavors of Windows)
  • Advanced knowledge of networking principles (TCPIP, DNS, DHCP, Lan/Wan, VLAN, Layer 3 Principles)
  • Cloud solutions
  • Firewall/router configuration
  • Security principles (general security concepts)
  • Troubleshooting standard hardware configurations
  • Learning and supporting various lines of business applications
  • 4 years experience in an outsourced technology environment
  • Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience is a huge plus!
