Kennsington Golf Course in Canfield, Ohio is an 18-hole, 7,050-yard, par 71 that blends natural beauty with a challenging layout. In additional to the course, Kennsington features a driving range, chipping area, Pro Shop and Full Swing Golf Simulator Lounge.
Kennsington Golf Course is seeking Groundskeepers to start our 2025 golf season. The ideal candidate will excel as part of our team in maintaining green spaces and keeping the course in excellent playing condition.
Full or Part-time employment available - pay commensurate with experience.
Golf Groundskeeper Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and cut grass on tee boxes, fairways, roughs, fringes and greens.
- Maintain bunkers.
- Assist with sodding and trimming.
- Use equipment such as walking and riding greens mowers, tee mowers, fairway mowers, rough mowers, rollers, bunker rakes, carts, push mowers and a variety of powered and non-powered hand tools.
- Observe all safety practices and protocols.
- Maintain sprinkler and irrigation systems.
- Prepare outdoor areas for various weather conditions by weatherproofing.
- Maintaining gardens and lawns, including planting, fertilizing, weeding, soil conditioning, mulching and applying pesticides.
- Keep green spaces clear of debris and litter.
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
- Familiarity with golf course landscape design.
- The ability to remain on your feet for long periods of time.
- A love of the outdoors, plant life, and golf.
- Ability to understand and receive direction in English.
- A high school degree or GED.
- Must be able to exert and lift more than 50 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Must be able to work in varying temperatures and inclement weather.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 40 per week
