JOB SUMMARY:
As a "Host/Hostess," you will be responsible for greeting and seating all customers to maximize dining room space and waitstaff effectiveness. You will need to be able to use an electronic reservation system to track customers' reservations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining the host/hostess station with a clean appearance andassistingt in replenishing menus and tables set up when necessary.
Be a brand ambassador by always maintaining a professional, upbeat, and friendly attitude, abiding by dress code expectations, and having a clean and put-together appearance. As an SP Hospitality Group team member, we expect our employees to follow all company policies and procedures and maintain a positive work environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answer the phone and input customer reservations into the computer
- Make daily calls to customers to confirm their upcoming reservations
- Enthusiastically greets all customers as they enter the restaurant
- Seat customers according to the established plan that ensures all waitstaff gets filled tables
- Keep designated service station and waiting area clean
- Ensure takeout menus, mints and cards remain stocked
- Refill paper products in bathrooms, as needed
- Help waitstaff by getting water for customers, as needed
- Help bussers by getting setting tables for customers, as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year of restaurant experience preferred
- Able to answer a multi-line office telephone
- Keen attention to detail to track guest reservations
- Excellent customer service skills
- Friendly and outgoing personality
- Experience with electronic reservation system
- Follow appropriate food safety guidelines
- Able to work a variety of shifts
- Able to stand for long periods
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
