Position requirements are to perform a variety of repairs and services in a specialized building system environment with a high emphasis on HVAC and Mechanical Systems. Working knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems, Electrical / Electronic, Security Systems, BAS, and other similar types of related equipment and systems is a PLUS.
Main Duties
- Service and Maintain HVAC systems to keep within allowable parameters.
- Performs a variety of minor service work for areas such as painting, plumbing, mechanical, electrical / electronic, security, electronic locking doors, hydraulics, carpentry, and machine servicing, etc.
- Will plan, select, and lay out required materials for service and repair work.
- Complete assigned Preventive Maintenance tasks.
- Ability to understand building prints, schematics and other available documents while troubleshooting system or other types work requests.
- Assist with managing subcontracted work to ensure proper notifications are sent, work is completed in accordance with designed scope of work and ensures all safety requirements are met.
- Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machines instrumental to building operations.
- Provide detailed information related to procurement group for new supplies and equipment.
- Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and complies with all company policies.
- Is required to participate in an on-call rotation schedule to attend to emergency situations at the facility.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5 years’ experience in a Facility Maintenance environment.
- Understanding of HVAC systems (AHU’s, DX sys, pumps, fans, exhaust systems, etc).
- Working knowledge of Metasys (BMS) a plus.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot Fire Alarm and Fire Suppression Systems.
- Knowledge in building Security Systems to include card readers, surveillance cameras and electronic locking systems a PLUS.
- Working understanding of UPS and Generator systems.
- Basic Electrical system working knowledge.
- Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
- Have a valid driver’s license
- Job location requires for temp to go between Long Beach and the LAX ConRac project site.
