Job Title: Materials Handler 1

Location: Wendell, NC, 27591 (On-Site)

Duration: 11 months contract (possible to extent)

Shift Details: 6:00 am to 4:30 pm (1st shift)

Pay Range: $17/hr - $19/hr

Job Description:

As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the movement of materials, including receiving, storage, picking, delivery, and inventory control. You will also be required to operate various material handling equipment, maintain accurate records in SAP, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate stand-up reach truck, stand-up order picker, and sit-down forklift in high-traffic areas.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections for safe operation.
• Unload and receive production materials and record transactions in SAP.
• Verify material counts within the storeroom.
• Pick materials using RF Scanners with high accuracy.
• Perform daily cycle counts of stored materials.
• Pack and ship materials efficiently, ensuring damage-free shipments.
• Load outgoing shipments with proper documentation.
• Use small hand tools, battery-operated, electrical, and air-powered tools as needed.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• High attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to accept constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 years of experience in material management or warehousing.
• 1 years of forklift operation experience.
• Experience using SAP for material tracking.
• Experience with RF Scanner devices.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Associate’s Degree or technical training in a related field.
