Job Summary: Function as the lead of the Cubic Digital Intelligence (CDI) Program Management Operations (PMO) team which plans, analyzes, evaluates, and reports the cost and schedule performance and overall efficiency of each program. Successful candidate will enjoy and excel in dealing with complex financial analysis, budget preparation, and a range of data analysis. Individual will be a critical link to other key departments such as contracts, finance, business development and executive. Incumbents in the position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority. Successful candidate will excel in leading other team members in management of the entire portfolio of projects.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- In conjunction with project leads and other technical resources, develop and load Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) in SAP, including responsibility assignments and cost accounting structure for assigned programs.
- Works closely with both the engineering and program management organizations to develop and provide financial baselines and monthly internal/external customer performance reports.
- Provides direct program control support utilizing earned value methodologies and management.
- Support management teams in resource allocation reviews.
- Work closely with program and product owners to establish and track budgets; identify and document deviations to the cost baseline.
- Identify and communicate mitigation strategies for cost and schedule impacts.
- Work with Finance Team to complete monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close.
- Performs financial trend analysis for costs, schedule, and manpower requirements.
- Aids in supporting the monthly Cost Status Report (CSR) cycle through the review of Estimate to Complete (ETC’s) and current program performance trends.
- Supports Program Managers in delivering monthly financial CDRLs.
- Manages projects by anticipating problems, providing team communications and develop work around strategies to minimize impacts.
- Champion corporate developed policies, processes, and tools within the CDI business unit
- Support Accounts Payable to ensure accurate and timely billing to customers.
- Support Accounts Receivable to ensure accurate and timely application of cash receipts, as necessary.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Supports internal/external audits as required.
- Effectively supports a portfolio of programs within highly matrixed organization.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Four-year college degree in a business, accounting, or relevant discipline. OR equivalent years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Understanding of business operations, finance, program management, contracts administration, standard business practices, and the relationship of programs within a portfolio.
- SAP background or experience in similar ERP system.
Desirable/Preferred:
- Primavera (P6)
- MBA
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Cubic Pay Range:
$85,000 – $100,000* benefits.
- Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from our lowest geographic market up to our highest geographic market.
