Position Title: Area Chef Manager

Salary: $85,000-$95,000/ yr.

Job Summary

We are seeking a growth minded Area Chef Manager to support our growing B&I corporate dining locations in throughout New York. You will be responsible for the success of both the culinary and food service dining operations in Queens, Long Island, and NYC. This role will require travel, and flexibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full culinary management of food service operation to include inventory, ordering and receiving
• Knowledge of P&L & financials accountability is required
• Skilled in menu development, cost controls, purchasing, and inventory with a focus on applying local food products
• Possesses a passion for sustainability
• Travel within Queens, Long Island and NYC to support various B&I Corporate dining locations within the CulinArt Group's portfolio
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of culinary management experience is required
• Culinary experience in contract food service, hotels or country clubs is highly preferred
• Multi-unit culinary experience is required
• Catering experience in a variety of events including upscale
• Knowledge of inventory and purchasing
• Experience with financials, and P&L accountability
• Extensive knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
• Experience with exposition cooking
• Must have a working knowledge of HACCP
• ServSafe certified is a plus
