We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Assistant with at least 3 years of Litigation experience to join our team in the Uniondale office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support attorneys in drafting, editing, and organizing pleadings, legal documents, and discovery responses in litigation matters.
- Manage administrative tasks such as communicating with opposing counsel and court personnel.
- Maintain accurate and organized electronic and physical files.
Educational/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- At least 3 years of tort litigation experience in a law firm is desirable
- Familiarity with litigation procedures, processes, and State and Federal court e-filing systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with iManage is an asset
- Able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent organizational and computer skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
