What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAE NVH Specialist position at Cullerton Group?
Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a CAE NVH Specialist in Detroit, MI. The work will be done onsite. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up to $100,000 / yr, including full benefits.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in vibro-acoustic coupling to predict interior noise and a strong background in NVH analysis and simulation for automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities :
- Mandatory) Perform vibro-acoustic coupling simulations to predict interior noise levels.
- Conduct high-frequency airborne noise simulations using tools like VA One and / or Actran , addressing :
- Powertrain noise (EV & ICE) – electric motor whine, gear whine, engine noise, intake & exhaust noise, inverter noise.
- Tire noise and wind noise .
- Acoustic package development and optimization (sound transmission loss & sound absorption coefficient).
- Develop full vehicle, Trimmed Body, and BIW NVH FE models for structural analysis.
- Utilize NVH problem-solving techniques (source-path-receiver approach) for powertrain, structural, and interior systems.
- Apply Vibration Transfer Functions (VTFs) and Noise Transfer Functions (NTFs) to analyze and optimize NVH performance.
- Work with various materials, including metals, plastics, foams, rubbers, and composites for NVH optimization.
