Basic, fundamental, minimum requirements (barriers to entry : without this, you cannot be considered)
- Full vehicle, Trimmed Body and BIW NVH FE modelling
- Good materials understanding, including metals, plastics, foams, rubbers, composites
- NVH problem solving experience in various areas using source-path-receiver thinking (i.e. structure-borne noise & vibration) : powertrain (EV ICE), structural systems (body, CCB & IP, seats, etc)
- The use of Vibration Transfer Functions (VTFs) and Noise Transfer Functions (NTFs) are basic tools in this area
Preferred requirements (this will be the differentiator : the more experience, the more likely you will be hired)
Powertrain noise (EV ICE) : electric motor whines, gear whines, engine noise, intake & exhaust noise, inverter noise
Acoustic package development and optimization (sound transmission loss & sound absorption coefficient)
Wind noise
