Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer in Forest City, IA. The work will be done onsite. This is a permanent job. Compensation is up to $95,000/yr, including full benefits.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in vehicle architecture, electrical component selection, schematic development, harness routing, Capital Logic and XC software, UG NX, DFMEA, and prototype builds. This role focuses on electrical system design, harness development, and cross-functional collaboration to support new product development (NPD) and sustaining projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Understand and analyze vehicle electrical architecture to support system development.
- Select and specify electrical components based on performance and application requirements.
- Develop electrical schematics using Capital Logic software.
- Create and refine harness routing concepts using UG NX.
- Design and maintain harness drawings per industry standards using Capital XC.
- Provide technical support for day-to-day maintenance activities and troubleshooting.
- Participate in prototype vehicle builds, identifying and resolving electrical system issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect, analyze, and resolve technical issues.
- Support DFMEA exercises to improve design robustness and reliability.
- Guide technicians during vehicle builds and provide hands-on installation support.
- Coordinate with offshore teams for new product development (NPD) and sustenance projects.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Experience with Capital Logic, Capital XC, UG NX, and electrical harness design.
- Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and architecture.
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative environment.
- Hands-on experience with prototype builds and DFMEA analysis.
