Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Mechanical Drafter 1 in Rapid City, South Dakota. The work will be done onsite. This is a long term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $20 / hr including full benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, and 401K. Cullerton Group will provide H1B Sponsorship.
Summary :
The main function of a mechanical drafter is to prepare detailed working diagrams of machinery and mechanical devices, including dimensions, fastening methods, and other engineering information. This position has an emphasis on paint & styling drawing, layouts and etching drawing for a Caterpillar owned entity.
Job Responsibilities :
- Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment, dies, tools, and controls, using computer-assisted drafting (CAD) equipment.
- Coordinate with and consult other workers to design, lay out, or detail components and systems and to resolve design or other problems.
- Compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications for components or machinery using computer-assisted equipment.
- Position instructions and comments onto drawings.
- Design scale or full-size blueprints of specialty items such as furniture and automobile body or chassis components.
- Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the material so.
- Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
