JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible to prepare 3D CAD models and engineering drawings using Creo 3D software, assist engineers in troubleshooting designs and drawings, and maintain engineering release and change documentation.
- Create or modify 3D models and engineering drawings for use in manufacturing.
- Verify 3D models and engineering drawings meet the customers’ needs while also adhering to Engineering Standards.
- Use PLM software for storing CAD files, create engineering notices, and maintain Bills of Material.
- Collaborate with Engineers and peers to troubleshoot design issues along with 3D model and engineering drawing issues and discrepancies.
- Complete projects in a timely manner to meet customer due dates and the Teamleads’ project schedule.
- Communicate to the Team lead any delays or issues that are encountered during a project so that the project schedule can be kept up to date.
- Ensure engineering change documentation conforms to engineering standards and specifications.
- Assist engineers in troubleshooting designs.
- Interface with engineers and peers as necessary to ensure all facets of project’s scope are met.
- Complete projects in a timely manner to meet customer due dates.
- Communicate with Team lead daily on project status, delays and issues encountered.
- Work with project team leader daily to review projects scope, status, and deadlines.
- Responsible for creating and/or updating part or assembly drawings in accordance with engineering guidance and engineering standards and specifications.
- Interface with project engineers to address any questions pertaining to project scope requirements.
- Complete projects in a timely manner in alignment with project engineer’s expectations.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Associate’s degree in computer aided drafting program with 4 years’ experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer aided drafting program with 2 years’ experience.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- Intermediate level experience with parametric 3d modeling and drafting software’s (i.e. Autodesk Inventor, Solidwork, Creo).
- Prior mechanical drafting experience (preferably for equipment based mechanical components).
- Experience with 3D parametric drafting/modeling software (ex. PTC Creo-preferred, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor).
- Proficiency in application of Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing on drawings (specifically related to ASME Y14.5 standards).
- Experience with application of Microsoft office products (i.e. Work, OneNote, Excel, etc.).
