Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Quality/Test Engineer 5 in Mossville, IL. The work will be done onsite. This is a long term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $69/hr including benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay. Cullerton Group will provide sponsorship.
Position’s Contributions to Work Group:
- Assess and plan work to mitigate risk in NTI and NPI programs.
- Work with design leads to establish an initial first-pass test plan early in a program (pick list review to document leverage opportunity, VPD and potential test load).
- Participate in or Plan and Host Simulation and Test Collaboration Workshops (STCW) early in programs, pre-DFMEA to create high-level Validation Plan.
- Communicate progress in Gateway Reviews including System Readiness Summaries.
- Quality approval of FMEA / DVP&R with design managers with key focus of developing standard FMEA's.
- Creation of Proactive Reliability glidepaths.
- Standard work creation, updating, and socialization.
- Project long-term testing needs, including lab space, equipment and people.
- SME for myNPI issues meetings and issue resolution.
- HALT planning assistance but not ownership.
- APQP Oversight.
- Provide technical guidance and capture lessons learned.
- Position involves working in a team environment on challenging, new product programs that include electric drive technology and will support a 80 strong team of engineers and technologists.
Typical task breakdown:
- Attend project execution team meetings for assigned NPI/NTI projects.
- Asses new content, develop high-level test plans, supplement high-level plan with detailed FMEA-based DVP&R.
- Present in Design Reviews and Gate Reviews on Validation Readiness.
Interaction with team:
- Role will be embedded in design teams for NPI/NTI programs.
- Will interact with component and system design leads, system validation engineers, other component validation engineers and component test team.
Work environment:
- Role will consist of meetings (Teams and in-person), collaboration with design engineers, as well as test engineers in our labs.
- Primary lab spaces are in Building AC, with some potential to have work going on in Tech Center G, PPG, and TPG.
Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) curriculum
- 9 years of experience desired, 5 years of experience required
- Master’s or Doctorate can potentially decrease experience required
- Previous product development experience (design, validation/test or analysis).
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Experience with electric drive systems and/or components, with focus on electric induction motor and generator and resistor grids
- Experience with structured FMEA & DVP&R process.
- Experience with NPI Issue resolution process.

- Experience with CAT NPI Programs and Processes.
