POSITION TITLE: Custodian(s) - Afternoon/Evening
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge and/or experience in custodial duties and ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, carrying, climbing, etc.) and using equipment (lawn mowers, weed eaters, vacuum cleaners, etc.).
JOB GOAL: To maintain the facility and to provide a safe, clean, sanitary, and habitable environment for the faculty, student, staff, and community to work and study.
REPORTS TO: Principal or Immediate Supervisor
EVALUATION: Cullman City Schools’ Support Personnel Evaluation Plan
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with principal and other school personnel to maintain clean classrooms, hallways, offices, facilities, and grounds to include lawn care.
- Performs minor repairs to facilities as needed to include but not limited to changing light bulbs, HV/AC filters, some glass replacement, etc.
- Consults with principal regarding equipment needs and repairs.
- Moves equipment or other school assets when needed.
- Performs and/or assists when pre-approved in event or special program set-ups and assists faculty and staff when necessary.
- Exhibits positive human relations skills.
- Maintains and submits records and reports.
- Adheres to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and state and federal rules and regulations.
- Engages in personal professional growth and demonstrates professional ethics and leadership.
- Maintains proper certification by attending workshop and professional development courses.
- Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism and ethics, working cooperatively with the Board, the Superintendent, administrators, certificated and non-certificated personnel, parents, and students.
- Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication.
- Attends all meetings as required by the Superintendent.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
