What are the responsibilities and job description for the SITTER (PRN) position at Cullman Regional Medical Center Inc?
Job Summary:
- Under supervision of RN, principle responsibilities are sitting with and monitoring of patient who are at high risk for falls and/or injury to self or others through direct observation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by registered nurse.
- Support patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrate essentials of professional courtesy, respect and customer services.
- Communicate to RN patient status and any changes.
- Follow directions from other staff members as appropriate.
- Remain calm in crisis and emergency situations and communicate as appropriate.
- Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient/guest experiences.
- Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Education:
High school education or up to 6 months related experience.
Experience:
Previous patient care experience is strongly preferred.
Additional Skills/Abilities:
Excellent communication skills are required.
