Job Summary :
- Responsible for managing Float Pool assuring competency & skill sets of staff is appropriate in delivering care to our patients.
- Establish and implement standards of practice that comply with regulatory agencies.
- Assure responsibility of overall productivity and successful budgeting for the float unit.
- Responsible for assisting the CNO in meeting the departmental goals of the hospital.
- Demonstrate and encourage team behavior and exceptional patient / guest experiences.
- Uphold and promote patient safety and quality.
Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor of science in nursing and currently licensed in the state of Alabama required. MSN preferred.
Experience :
Minimum of three years' clinical hospital experience in a supervisory capacity required. Demonstrated knowledge and skills necessary to ensure provision of appropriate patient care in assigned areas of responsibility. Must have previous critical care experience.
Additional Skills / Abilities :
Possess excellent interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with guests. Proficient oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills required.
