What are the responsibilities and job description for the Stockroom Associate - East Hampton position at Cult Gaia?
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive and process incoming shipments of merchandise, verifying quantities and quality to ensure accuracy and completeness of orders.
- Organize and maintain the stock room inventory, including tagging, labeling, and shelving items in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Assist in conducting regular inventory counts and audits, identifying discrepancies and resolving issues promptly to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Collaborate with sales associates and management to fulfill requests for merchandise, retrieving items from the stock room and preparing them for display on the sales floor.
- Ensure the stock room is clean, organized, and safe, following proper procedures for handling and storing merchandise to prevent damage or loss.
- Support efficient operations by replenishing merchandise on the sales floor as needed, contributing to a seamless shopping experience for customers.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous experience in a stock or warehouse environment, preferably in retail.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles and procedures.
- Ability to lift and move boxes weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Flexibility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Basic math skills and familiarity with inventory tracking systems (preferred but not required).
- High school diploma or equivalent.
