This role will work to make CultureHouse a more efficient organization by managing and improving systems and procedures across the organization.
Start date: May 19th, 2025
Location: Somerville, Massachusetts (with some remote work and occasional travel)
Time: About 40 hours/week (occasional night and weekend work)
Salary: $56,800–$62,400/year, depending on experience

Responsibilities
Administration
- Complete tasks to make HQ run smoothly
- Maintain organization databases (Mailchimp, monday.com, Donorbox)
- Manage contacts in monday.com and Mailchimp
Fundraising and development
- Create and maintain a development plan for the organization
- Manage two yearly fundraising campaigns
- Seek donations from individuals
- Manage CultureHouse Crew monthly donor program
- Write grant proposals for CultureHouse projects and programs
- Manage grant reporting requirements
Human resources
- Manage internship program
- Facilitate team onboarding
Communications
- Write newsletters for the organization
- Manage social media accounts
- Lead other communications efforts in collaboration with the team
Accounting and finance
- Record and input receipts and maintain Quickbooks
- Coordinate nonprofit filing requirements
- Assist building organizational budgets
- Manage and process invoices
Events planning
- Run events at CultureHouse HQ
- Organize a yearly team retreat
- Organize team activities and meetings
Manage test kitchen program
- Coordinate team professional development opportunities
Support project managers as needed

Highly preferred qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US
- 2 years of operations or administrative work experience
- Exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to create structure for others to follow
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Comfortable taking initiative and working through problems/unknowns
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a collaborative working style
- Commitment to social justice
- Experience working with Quickbooks Online or similar software
- Knowledge of CRM systems
- Ability to develop public-facing communications and marketing materials
- Experience researching and writing grants
Other preferred experience and qualifications
- Full professional proficiency in Spanish, Portuguese, and/or Haitian Creole
- Background and/or interest in urban design, urbanism, or related field
- Knowledge of nonprofit business management
- Knowledge of DEI frameworks and cultural competency
- Passion for grassroots progressive political change and shifting power to underrepresented communities
- Ability to lift more than 50 pounds and willingness to get dirty!
Salary : $56,800 - $62,400
