Job Overview
Job Summary:
The porter at our car dealership will be responsible for maintaining vehicle displays, managing the parking lot, and performing general duties to support the vehicle sales and service departments. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, a valid driver’s license, and be detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:

• Vehicle Maintenance and Preparation:
• Wash, dry, and detail vehicles inside and out to ensure they are presentable for customers.
• Perform regular checks to ensure all vehicles on the lot and showroom are clean, well-maintained, and have correct pricing information displayed.
• Prepare vehicles for test drives and deliveries, including fueling and removing any protective coverings.
• Lot Management:
• Organize and manage the display of vehicles on the sales lot and showroom to optimize space and accessibility.
• Move and park vehicles as required, ensuring that the lot is neat and orderly.
• Assist with setup for special events and promotions, arranging vehicles and signage as needed.
• Customer Service:
• Assist customers by answering basic questions or directing them to the appropriate staff member.
• Deliver vehicles to customers after purchase, ensuring a positive final impression of the dealership.
• Provide shuttle service for customers when needed.
• Inventory Control:
• Track cars on the lot, noting their condition and location.
• Assist in managing the inventory of vehicles by reporting any issues or discrepancies to the sales or service department.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures regarding the handling of vehicles, including safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment by keeping walkways and customer areas free of hazards.

Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Good physical condition to walk, bend, and lift objects up to 30 pounds.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to work well in a team and adapt to changing environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.10 - $21.68 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
