Position Title: IT Support Specialist
Department: Information Technology Department
Reports To: Director of Information Technology
Employment Type: Full-time, 12 months
Position Summary:
Culver-Stockton College (C-SC) in Canton, Missouri is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Information Technology Support Specialist responsible for providing support to the campus Learning Management System (LMS) and other IT services, including troubleshooting, training, and helpdesk management. This role involves maintaining the Jenzabar enterprise system, assisting with hardware and software for both PC and Macintosh systems, and ensuring smooth operation of classroom technology. The Specialist collaborates with faculty and staff to enhance course development and oversees training sessions. Strong communication skills, a focus on confidentiality, and the ability to work independently are essential for success in this fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide support and maintenance for the Jenzabar enterprise system, including configuration and database management.
Manage all systems interfacing with the main Jenzabar system.
Offer PC and Macintosh hardware and software support.
Provide classroom and Learning Management System (LMS) support, including training and troubleshooting for faculty, staff, and students.
Collaborate with the Dean of Graduate and Professional Studies, Director of Instructional Technology, and IT Operations to plan and coordinate full training sessions.
Support course development to ensure alignment with best practices.
Assist in managing standardized course evaluations and reports for divisions and instructors.
Collaborate with Student Life to manage Campus Groups’ “Wildcats Connect” app and website.
Lead IT Helpdesk operations and provide technical support.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Maintain confidentiality of all departmental and institutional information in compliance with the Privacy Act and institutional policies.
Ability to work tactfully with faculty, staff, students, and the community.
Familiarity with administrative policies and procedures.
Willingness to seek out and incorporate new methods and principles.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment with professional, courteous communication skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in a technology discipline or computer-related field with experience in Information Technology preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Office required.
