Position Overview
Examples of Duties
- A high volume of calls is received by the call center representative with significant public contact via the telephone
- This is one of the three full time positions assigned to our local call center
- Provide general information regarding the Child Support Program
- Provide individual case information when appropriate, complete change of addresses, key in notes regarding telephone conversation and send work lists to the Child Support Agents
- Works extensively in an automated computer-based child support system
- Other duties as assigned are performed within the department’s administrative unit, to include processing mail, filing, and working the reception desk
Minimum Qualifications
Management Preference: One year of Child Support experience directly dealing with external customers and/or call center experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of the Child Support Program
- Knowledge of office or unit work procedures, methods, and practices
- Ability to deal with the public and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced team-oriented work environment
- Ability to handle stressful situations while being tactful
- Ability to use a variety of office equipment and demonstrated computer skills, some mathematical skills, and their application in the work environment
- Ability to learn to navigate, retrieve, and record information from or in an automated computer system specific to child support
- Ability to work in an office setting
